Primarily consists of rabbinical works including legal rulings; sermons; novellae; notes; responsa; and ethical, mystical, and Hasidic works; and other material from Holland, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary, Germany, Yemen, Tunisia, the United States, and elsewhere. Also includes manuscript prayer books, Torah scrolls, Scrolls of Esther, haftaroth, marriage contracts, amulets, and Samaritan works from Spain, Italy, France, Yemen, and elsewhere; record books of communities and institutions including Yeshivath Torath Hayyim, Odessa, 1895, Havurath Miksa (Bible study group), Kalvarija, Lithuania, 1791-1799, communities in Strasnitz and Lissa, and Czarist military court in Warsaw, 1864-1865; and miscellaneous other literary and scientific works, letters, certificates, music, and other materials. Among individuals whose works, and copies of whose works, are included are Akiva Eger, Hayyim Vital, Shem Tov ben Joseph Falaquera, Elisha Gallico, Moses Cordovero, Joseph Taitazak, Asher ben Jehiel, Meir Poppers, Jacob Zemah, Moses Reicherson, Jacob Sikili, Isaac Elhanan Spektor, and others.
